Description
Improvements without compromising tradition
The raseteur trousers are the reference garment of the Camargue bullfighting tradition. Traditionally crafted in 100% bright white cotton, this iconic piece has been worn for decades by raseteurs and tourneurs. Following feedback from professionals and bullfighting schools, Vincent et Mireille, the last manufacturer of these heritage garments, decided to reinvent this classic to better address the needs of today’s raseteurs.
Greater stretch and freedom of movement
Our new raseteur trousers are made from a durable stretch twill fabric. This cloth, composed of 97% cotton and 3% elastane, brings enhanced elasticity and freedom of movement—an essential feature during Camargue bullfights and high barrier jumps, allowing raseteurs to move unhindered and safely, without the restrictions of rigid or overly tight trousers.
A more fitted and secure cut
The new Vincent et Mireille raseteur trousers have been redesigned with a slimmer fit at the lower leg, both to ensure a secure fit that reduces the risk of bull horns catching, and to reflect the younger generation’s desire for a more “stretch” silhouette. We have also chosen to remove the rear pocket, considered unnecessary by many raseteurs.
A new model tested and approved
Throughout the design process, prototypes were submitted to rigorous testing by professional raseteurs, ensuring they met every requirement of comfort, safety, and tradition. The overwhelmingly positive feedback allows us to proudly present this new stretch raseteur trousers: a garment that perfectly blends heritage and modernity, for raseteurs, tourneurs, bullfighting schools, and all enthusiasts of Camargue tradition.
As for manufacturing, we have opted for production in Tunisia, enabling us to offer raseteurs and schools a product of excellent craftsmanship at an affordable price point.
