The "Cigales" collection by Vincent et Mireille is adorned with a motif deeply rooted in Provençal culture. Recognizable by its spindle-shaped body and transparent wings, the cicada has become a symbol of Provence thanks to the celebrated poet Frédéric Mistral, defender of the Occitan language and author of the poem Mirèio, who chose it as his emblem.

On our poplin, crafted from 100% organic cotton, the magenta cicadas stand out delicately against a warm raspberry background. Hand-drawn, this motif recalls the singular song of cicadas, heard throughout the South of France during the summer months.
